Objectives
• Identify the various thrips species on vegetables in Uganda.
• Evaluate the extent and distribution of tomato spotted wilt viruses
• Evaluate the effect of thrips population and tospoviruses at different growth stages of a tomato.
• Establish the effect of management practices on the occurrence of tospoviruses and their vectors
Progress
Surveys have been carried out and 5 species I dentified to be in existence in the country
Final goal
Develop IPM package to control thrips on tomato
